At this colorful downtown restaurant you'll be amazed by the quality of the food, the beverages and the staff. One outstanding feature is their warm, friendly and helpful staff - bar none they have the best customer service I have seen anywhere. The consistently creative cuisine is made exclusively from fresh, natural ingredients purchased daily from local farmers in season.
Bistro Bella Vita is a farm-to-table restaurant. The menu features Mediterranean country cuisine made from scratch daily. During the seasons when Michigan produce is fresh, they source as much of their food from local farms. Bistro Bella Vita's menu is all good and their expansive bar is a fun place to be in the evenings where the bartenders shake up some pretty fancy concoctions. A large wine and spirits list including cognacs and cordials make this a festive place to dine. Bistro Bella Vita is immediately impressive. The dining space is open and large and the bar is big and modern with a "beautiful crowd". Everything on the menu is well prepared including the many appetizers - Carbonara Bella Vita, a dish of pasta, bacon, roasted onion and tomato with parmesan and an egg over easy; Carpaccio a dish with rare beef thinly sliced and a roasted garlic vinaigrette; and Lobster Ravioli with a ragout of asparagus, sweet corn, and mushrooms with a truffle shellfish bisque. Entrees are enticing including Leg of Lamb sliced over local goat cheese-spinach gnocchi, and Duck Three Ways with a grilled duck breast and braised leg with an over easy egg, vegetables, and white bean fricassee and honey-Dijon jus. The menu is a study in creative flavors and it's hard to decide upon such a tantalizing selection. Bistro Bella Vita offers a tasting menu on Mondays and Tuesdays. Guests may call to request a special custom menu for their party. The idea is, you work with the chef to design your special dinner event - they source all of the fresh food, prepare it and serve you. How much better can it get!
