Patrick Wise looks like an active sportsman with a boyish face and rugged, athletic build, but for more than 12 years he has been actively practicing his craft as an executive chef. Interested in fine food since childhood, Patrick loved to eat steak and shrimp versus burgers and pizza. He attributes his energy, work ethic and passion for the culinary life to his mother, who raised him as a single mom since age 12. You will now see him at age 33 working in the kitchen, always the kitchen, along with his crew serving at least 6 lunches and five dinners per week at one of the two restaurants where he brings his culinary magic to life - Bistro Bella Vita and Green Well in Grand Rapids.
Wise is very hands-on. He doesn't just want to manage the staff, he wants to teach them directly all that he knows about the foods that he loves to prepare. In his own words, " I love the high pace and multi tasking that's a part of working as a chef in the kitchen. "
